Refine your Subconscious Mind

You are what is store in your subconscious mind.

We all want to grow and achieve success in life.

But

Somehow, we are not doing it.

It is because your subconscious mind is not ready for it.

Conscious vs. Subconscious Mind

The conscious mind defines your desires and aspirations in life. It is fickle and changes randomly.

Let me share with you some examples:
  • You see an flying airplane, you want to become a pilot
  • You watched an action movie, now you want to become an actor
  • You saw a lady wearing a precious necklace, you want it

Another hand, your subconscious mind is resistant to change. It controls automatic movements like:
  • Your feelings
  • Breathing
  • Digestion
  • Body movements and
  • Your beliefs
The information stored in the subconscious mind is habitual and repetitive.

Subconscious Mind takes over

When your conscious mind is not awake or lost somewhere the subconscious mind takes over.

For example, while riding a bicycle you might be lost in singing a song or looking at the beautiful flowers on the way.

Your hands and legs are working automatically and effortlessly despite your conscious mind is lost in other activities.

It is because once the information gets stored in your sub-conscious mind, it becomes habitual and repetitive.

Your conscious mind takes the information from the surroundings, makes some conclusions, and sends the result to the subconscious mind.

And

In the subconscious mind, it becomes a sort of permanent.

Why we don't grow?

You cannot grow unless your subconscious mind is aligned with the conscious mind.

The subconscious mind develops the most in the early stages of childhood.

Whatever information the conscious mind passes to the sub-conscious mind, and there it becomes habitual and repetitive.

This is the reason for your growth and stagnation.

For example, you once failed the first time in a test in your childhood, you were told that you’re good for nothing.

Your conscious mind took that information and passed it to the subconscious mind and there it became permanent.

Now, every time you appear for the test, the same thought comes to your mind that you are good for nothing.

Similarly, we came across many statements and things during our childhood from parents, friends, and society.
  • We are poor; we can’t become rich
  • You cannot start a business
  • You hard work to achieve anything in life
  • It is hard to achieve the goal
  • We are destined for sorrows
  • I will never be good in life
  • I am helpless
  • Two people cannot live happily together

The same information passes to your subconscious mind and there it becomes very strong.

You gave the command and it gets stored in your subconscious mind.
And this information results in:
  • Failed relationships
  • Lack of prosperity
  • Inhibited spiritual and professional growth.
This leads to living a limited life.
The negative beliefs in the subconscious mind lead to limited life.
Now in the later stage of life, you try to do something good, the information store in the subconscious mind stops you from doing so.

And

After an attempt or two, you leave the idea of growth and you again start living the limited life (thinking that people were right who told me during my childhood that I am a failure.)

The information stored in the subconscious mind becomes very strong with time; it becomes difficult to erase it at once.

The concept of Inertia

If your subconscious mind is not ready, whatever you do, it will not do much difference in your life.

It is resistant to change.

Let us understand it more clearly with Inertia.

Inertia is a property of the body that opposes any force that tries to change its state.

If the body is at rest, it likes to remain at rest, and it opposes any force that tries to change its state of rest.

Similarly, if the same body is moving, it likes to be in motion, and it will oppose any force that tries to change its state of motion.

Similar is the case with the information stored in our subconscious mind.
It resists the change.

If this information is growth-oriented, you will grow

And If thoughts and beliefs are negative, you will suffer.

How to erase the negative beliefs?

Although some information that we get from our parents, friends, and society like:
  • Don’t cheat
  • Be good to others
  • Be honest
Is good.
We need to find out those thoughts and beliefs that are inhibiting our growth.
For example, the thought of being very busy and not taking out time for exercise.
You know that exercise is very important for your health but the thought in the subconscious mind of not having enough time for exercise prevents you from doing so.

We need to erase this belief or thought.

Step 1: Analyse your belief

First, analyse the statement, if I break it, I found it has 2 negatives
  1. Very-busy, not enough time
And
    2.  I cannot exercise

I am taking (2): I cannot exercise.

Step 2: Convert ‘I cannot’ to ‘I can’

The second step is telling your mind that you can exercise.

Our mind understands in terms of pictures.

The best way to do this is to place pictures of different exercise poses in the places where you spend most of the time like in your workplace, mobile screen, etc.

This activity will prepare your mind will tell you that you can exercise.

After few days, your mind will start pushing your body to exercise.

Step 3: Choose any one exercise

If your job demands you to sit for long hours, look for the ways that make your body movements like walking.

Step 4: Look for the ways within your schedule

First, don’t break your busy schedule.

Look for the ways within the schedule.
  • For example, your office on the 4th floor, start using stairs
  • Park your car slightly far from the station so that you walk to the station
  • Take a break of 10 minutes from your workstation and walk around.
  • Avoid junk food (It is also a kind of exercise)
  • In many more ways, I think you are intelligent to find more than me.

Step 5: Break it into small pieces

Don’t start doing it at once.

Break it and start implementing in small steps.

For example, first 7-days climb 50 stairs in a day.
And gradually start increasing.

Step 6: Repeat, repeat, and repeat.

After practice of 30 days, the belief of ‘I cannot exercise’ will be replaced with ‘I can’, and now your body will become habitual and it will start doing it automatically.

It is my way of erasing negative beliefs.

Similarly, we can erase any negative beliefs from our minds.

Let me know your way of doing it in the comment section.

Thank you

Yash:)
